New Year's Day

We're starting off the New Year verrrrrryyyyy low key.  There were requests for sledding at the local sledding hill, but given the frigid temperatures and windchill, we opted to stay home and play games instead!

New Year's Eve Date Night

While Grandma and Grandpa hung out with the kids, Rob and I headed up north for New Year's Eve.  We drove all the way to the end of the peninsula to catch a glimpse of mighty Lake Superior in all of her frozen glory.  Then the mama and daddy had a nice, relaxing dinner and afterwards spent the evening watching HGTV to ring in the new year.  Wild and crazy we're not.  But it was sure nice to have a date, just the two of us!

Gingerbread House

As is our tradition, Reagan and I made a gingerbread house after Christmas.  Well, a gingerbread nativity.  We're getting better every year, in that this one actually stood up for some length of time before it was devoured.
