A Freak Weird Thing

 So, I went for a walk, and got to the end of my driveway when a hornet flew UNDER my glasses and stung my eye.  Seriously.  And then bounced a round a bit between my eye socket and the back of the lens until I was able to rip the glasses off my face.  You have the entire SKY to fly around, hornet.  WHY must you squeeze into the tiny little space between my glasses and eyeball??

 It must be warm.  Gunny NEVER just lies down in the middle of the driveway like this.  Silly dog.

Stuebenville

 Rob took the boys to the Stuebenville youth conference several years ago and just loved it, so now it's Reagan and my turn to check it out!  Reagan brought her friend Maria and we joined up with "Yahweh's Yoopers" to travel to the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota.  There were THOUSANDS of kids at this conference. It was wild and intense and hot, but Reagan loved it, and I'm so glad.  I have hope for the future generations after seeing the faith of these kids!

Beach Flying

 Rob's plane has been leaking oil profusely for several months now, and he's not able to fly too far away from home base.  Luckily, the Salmon Trout beach at the Huron Mountain Club is within "available oil" distance, so that's where Daddy goes.  These pictures are capture all of Rob's favorite things:  his airplane, beer, the beach, and no humans.

Colby Aho Learns to Sail

 Every time we go sailing, it's a blog-worthy photo opportunity.  Because I love it so much and it's just so darned pretty.  And on this day, Colby came with us on the boat for the very first time EVER, and learned to sail.  He said he had a pretty good idea about sailing, because he plays a pirate video game that requires a sailing component.  HA.  He really did take to it naturally.  He's the only one of our kids that seems to enjoy sailing and doesn't just sleep while on the boat!
