Reagan and I celebrated the end of August with ice cream, as we do, because it's important to support local small business. It's our civic duty.
And finally, our apples are ripe, and Reagan whipped up some apple fry bread! It's delicious!

Finally got a chance to use a gift certificate I was given, so Reagan and I had a lovely afternoon of tea!
Rob is taking advantage of the beautiful late-summer weather to do some camping on the beach with the mistress.
He's a Warrior now! Oh my heart. How can I leave a kid in inner city Detroit, when he grew up in an idyllic, rural place where we never lock our doors?!?! Will he even have the skills to navigate this place without getting mugged? But he is so so so excited. I got to tour Detroit with him, and I have to say, it is a super cool town. Nicer than I thought. It's going through a big Renaissance and I can see why Quinn loves it. And I got to watch him at dive practice, and that was a great experience as well. His dorm is totally swanky - light years better than my dorm in college - and his roommates are mature, polite young men that he will really enjoy. He's in a good place, literally and figuratively. He is ready. I had better be, too.
Leaving a big ol' piece of my heart in Detroit today.
We just happened to catch up to Maggie and her parents on their way to Hope college to drop her off, so met for lunch!
