Happy Halloween

 I have to admit, this was probably the lamest Halloween we Ahos have had in....ever.  Reagan made a jellyfish costume that was overly elaborate and expensive, but too difficult to wear to school.  Colby bought a costume from Walmart to wear to school, but wouldn't put it on for me to get a picture.  On actual Halloween, none of my kids did ANYTHING fun.  The boys went to a movie with friends, and Reagan hung out at a friend's house to pass out candy.  That meant that Mom was by herself, no trick or treaters, no parties, no kids, no candy.  I went for a walk with Beth and vented about how kids growing up is NO FUN at all for the mama.  At least my coworkers were somewhat festive.  We dressed up as the Rehab Zoo, and won third prize hospital-wide, which earned us a dessert party.  SOMEONE has to celebrate things around here!

Bah Humbug.  

The Spooky Mine Tour

 Reagan and I did the Quincy Haunted mine tour.  It was well-done!  And a cool location, right on the waterfront!

A Tour of Michigan State University

Quinn got a personalized tour of Michigan State University, compliments of some well-connected friends.  He's pretty excited about that place.  It's HUGE, and unlike anything he's ever experienced in his rural existence!  He got to talk to people in the engineering department, tour the diving facilities, and see a truly impressive McDonald's restaurant.  He's hooked.

 Second Wind was all alone in Dollar Bay.  All the other boats have been taken out for the season, but we keep holding out hope for one more sail before she's dry-docked!  So pretty with the fall colors in the background!
