Enjoying Winter (I mean Fall).

So, we've got a good month until it's officially winter, but this is da U.P., land of two seasons:  Winter, and Sprummerall.  (See what I did there?  Spring, Summer, and Fall, if you don't get my joke).  Since the West is having sun and warmth, my parents have to get their fill of the white stuff during their week with us.  We're more than willing to share!!

 

Decorating For Christmas

A task that normally takes me a good week to accomplish occurred in one afternoon, thanks to the amazing help of my parents.  My father, that pillar of patience, sat for FORTYFIVE minutes fixing the tree lights, testing each and every bulb, to make sure they all lit up.  Seriously.  I was ready to chuck them all and run to the store for new ones, but Dad persevered.  Wow.

So fun to decorate together.  I feel so ahead of the whole Christmas game.

O Christmas Tree

We found the PERFECT tree - and only had to walk about 100 steps out the back door to find it! There are definite benefits to living in a remote area.  So fun to search for just the right one.

 

   

 

 

Happy Thanksgiving!!

We had special visitors, who travelled from afar to join us for Thanksgiving!  They almost beat us home from our vacation :).  Yeah for parents who brave winter snowstorms to spend time with their children and grandchildren!!!
