New Year's Eve

 Quiet evening of pinochle at home, with Ty spending the night.  At midnight, the menfolk tried to blow up some tannenite.  They were unsuccessful, but thoroughly enjoyed shooting the rifles.  

Reagan and I also did manicures, just to ring in the new year right!

And...we lit a candle in remembrance of those we lost this year, including Chase and Chuck.

Farewell Dinner

 SO SAD that Mom and Dad are leaving! We said our goodbyes over food and arcade games.  The intention was to go bowling, but that was apparently also the intention of the majority of the town, and there were no lanes available.  Still.  We had fun!

Boxing Day Darts

Boxing Day was low-key.  The kids waxed their boards/skis.  Then we played a little darts in the basement while watching Sleepless in Seattle for the umpteenth time.  

If she misses the dartboard, we lose a t.v.  No pressure, Reagan!

 

Merry Christmas!

 Also known as "Annual Hug Your Sibling Day", because THAT doesn't ever seem to happen any day except on Christmas. I am sure to document each sign of physical affection for all posterity.  As usual, we were totally spoiled all the way around.  Afterwards, we made an enormous bonfire and burned all the wrapping paper and boxes, along with what branches from the downed tree that we could drag to the fire pit.  The extended Aho clan appeared for dinner, and a merry time was had by all.
