Faith Formation is coming to a close.  We have one last "hoo-rah", and then we're finite for the school year!!!  The weather was gorgeous today, so these four adorable kids and I took a field trip to the grotto to do some praying outdoors! 

A Perfect Saturday

Yesterday, in an astounding, unexpected turn of events, a friend of mine insisted on taking ALL THREE OF MY KIDS for the day.  Like for seven hours.  On a beautiful, gorgeous, sunny April day.  Unbelievable.  I was flabbergasted by this unexpected gift. Giddy, really.


 I read a book.  Took a nap in the sun, went for a jog.  Went for a long walk with a friend.  I went for a bike ride.  I practiced my Italian.  I did NOT do laundry, clean my house, or do my dishes.  I just enjoyed the heck out of a quiet house and a beautiful spring day.  AHHHHHHH.  Rob, on the other hand, enjoyed his free day by going to a friend's house for a crawdad boil.  Cajun style.  Which looks like this.... with all the food dumped into the middle of a long table:

Such a great day!!  We hit over 70 degrees in April, and it was just perfect perfect perfect!!!!

More Time At Chassell Park

Whenever it's nice around here, we head to the park, because living on a "dirt road" means living on a "mud road filled with potholes" in April.  We have to drive and visit pavement, which is rather pathetic but our lot in life.  Far be it from me, though, to complain about melting snow.  Bring on the sun!!!

Saturdays Around Here

Spring is trying to come.  It really is. Our Saturdays consist of swimming lessons, coding class (for the boys), the odd birthday party, and daddy/child flying.  And a little puppy snuggling thrown in for good measure.  Reagan was ALL ABOUT the fairy-themed birthday party she was invited to, and dressed appropriately in a full-length Cinderella ball gown and fairy wings.  Because - fairies.  You know.  It's her thing.
