No big plans for Spring Break, since I still have to work. But we did spend a night at a water park. So much fun! The kids are of an age where we don't have to be hyper-vigilant about them drowning at any second, so we can all just have fun and enjoy each other. Reagan even FINALLY began swimming on her own. YEAH REAGAN!!!! It's about dang time. It was all over too soon, but I'm glad we went. Family time is precious.

Spring?
The title of the week IS "Spring" break. The calendar says it's spring, and the weather DID warm up enough, so we headed to the park. We're trying to feel spring around here. We really are!! Pogo sticks and scooters were a hit.... as were mud puddles and snow banks. Needless to say, no one went home dry.

Happy Easter!!
Hallelujah! He is risen! He is risen indeed!

Not very spring-like weather. Lots of heavy, wet snow, so our egg hunt was held indoors this year. BLAH.
Easter Turkey!! He turned out great!! And I got to use up all the leftover parsley from the Seder ;)
White chocolate, lemon and raspberry cake. ABSOLUTELY YUM.

Such a wonderful day. How I love Easter!!!

Holy Saturday
First order of business (besides madly cleaning the house for Easter!) was to decorate eggs.
Reagan and I made our own Paschal Candle, and let it light up the prayer table. That evening, we read this homily from the third century, did a Divine Mercy chaplet, and recited the Apostles Creed together as a family. It was beautiful. We are ready for Easter!

Good Friday and the Gay Bar
SO.... not the HOLIEST way to spend Good Friday, but full of life-long memories, none-the-less. I was at work all day, and Daddy took Reagan for a plane ride lunch to the Gay Bar (boy did she get a kick out of THAT). And then the kids tooled around the yard on four wheelers and snowmobiles, just having a grand old time.

Did you notice what the boys were drinking in this picture? That would be Red Bull. YES. Red Bull. I could NOT figure out why they were all hyper and giddy all night. Well, there's the answer, which I didn't discover til later. They hauled wood for Dad, so he gave them RED BULL as a reward. Which equates to a punishment for Mom.

Holy Thursday
Quinn served, but the rest of us had our feet washed at church on Thursday. This was a first for all of us, and I must admit it is a humbling experience to have your feet washed and kissed by another person - least of all a priest. I can only imagine the impact of this action on the Disciples during the Last Supper.
