Quinn let me choose how to spend my last day in California before flying home. "Church and Food". That was easy. I am pretty sure Quinn won't feel comfortable trying out a church on his own, and there is one nearby that has 8 masses every Sunday - half in Spanish, half in English. I assumed the majority of the people at St. Anthony's Church would be Hispanic, and maybe that's true of the Spanish-speaking masses (as evidenced by the rows and rows of Mexican booths selling food and wares right outside the Church) but for our 9 am English Mass, there were people from all over the world. It was pretty awesome to see the mix of backgrounds worshipping together - we truly do have a Universal church and that's pretty cool.
Mass may have been a bit... unconventional... (read Priest checking his cell phone during mass, and the congregation storming the altar in droves during communion) but it was lovely none-the-less.
After, we waited in much too long a line for brunch, but it was worth it.
