End of the Year Sled Hockey Fun

 We had a BIG crowd at Sled Hockey tonight, wherein our "regulars" brought their families and friends to skate with them.  It was so fun.  We filled that rink and had a great time!!  I never thought I'd be a "hockey person", but this sled hockey thing brings me a whole lot of smiles.

Boxing Day Laziness

 Barely moved this day.  Maybe threw away some boxes and wrapping paper, but that's about it.  We did play some  games as a family, per Mom's request, which was super fun.

Look at the cribbage board and cards my sister had made for us!  So cool!

Merry Christmas!

 I had to work on Christmas day, so was unable to host the Aho Christmas Dinner as I usually do.  Instead, we headed over to Grandpa Al's at dinner time, and Rob smoked a turkey, Al cooked a ham, and the rest of us brought sides.  It was a lovely evening, and Matt & Kristin joined us from downstate!  Merry Christmas!

This weather is crazy.  NO SNOW and 40 degrees on Christmas Day!  What the heck?  I told Rob to get the boat out - I wanted to water ski.  He told me no.  Can you believe that?  Telling your wife NO on Christmas?

This was the most delicious bird ever.  Brined in beer for 24 hours ahead of time, then smoked on the Traeger.

See.  This lake was totally ready for water skiing.  Bah Humbug.

Colby thought he got a really cool water bottle from Grandma and Grandpa.  He was pretty stoked about the water bottle.  Then I told him to look inside.

Uhhhhh. College tuition for next semester inside.  That's a pretty dang generous Christmas gift right there, Grandma and Grandpa. That was quite the shock.  Can't thank you enough!! 

My first attempt at homemade sourdough cinnamon rolls.  They didn't turn out quite as well as I had hoped, but there are none left over so my family must've enjoyed them.
