Colby's Week At Camp

All I can say is... that boy must be EXHAUSTED after his week at camp!!  Looks like he had so much fun!!  His counselor Mike had only really amazing things to say about our man Colby.  Just really glad that he had this opportunity to be just... himself.

At Long Last - Summer 2013

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a summer chick.  I LOVE summer.  I love water, and warm days, and beaches, and no school, and being outside from sun up to sun down.  SUMMER 2013, however, has been slow to start - overshadowed by the memory of horrendous WINTER 2013, and postponed by cold, rainy SPRING 2013.  Today, though, was beautiful.  Beautiful enough that Quinn and Reagan were able to do one of their favorite summer things, which is turn the bounce house into a waterslide.  FUN!

 

Oh, and my iris' bloomed!  Yeah!!!

Off to Camp

Our eldest  son was dropped off at camp today... his first time away from home and family by himself (well, more than an overnight stay at grandma and grandpa's house).  We wondered if he'd be nervous, but he wasn't in the least.  He's a brave kid, that Colby, and this time away from everyone (including his BROTHER) is one big adventure!!  He'll be gone until Friday - no phones, no letters.  I'm thinking that I'm going to have a much harder time than he will! (sniff sniff)

Wizard of Oz Garden Party

 

 

The 2nd Annual Mom's Night Out garden party went down today.  Just like last year, the forecast predicted rain.  And, just like last year, God smiled on us and held off that rain and gave us a beautiful day!!  Humid, cloudy - sure.  But NO RAIN!!  YEAH!!

Theme this year was "Wizard of Oz".
