This creative girl came up with a faun costume this year. Which was great. Except she didn't finish it in time and I was literally sewing her into the costume as we were trying to leave the house. You know - just like the runway models do.
She looked great, and got 3rd prize in the costume contest. Good job, Reagan!
Tom and Diane are in town, so Grandpa treated the family to a lovely brunch.
It has been probably ten years at least since Rob and I attended a wedding together. Rob's good friend Tom got married, and we were invited to come. I was all about an occasion to dress up, and when the wedding and reception were over in an hour and fifteen minutes, told Rob that we COULDN'T go home right away. It took longer to get ready than our big night out! "Let's stop somewhere for a drink," says I. "What are you crazy?" replied my husband. It was 6:15 pm on a Saturday night.
In the end, I talked Rob into stopping for that drink, with the lure of live music at a local venue. Except - the music was too loud and we're old. And it was 60's music and we're not THAT old. So we lasted about 45 minutes before we decided to go home after all. The big night lasted until 8 pm.
Oh well. It's fun to dress up sometimes.
Dad and Reagan took to the skies to view the colors, which are holding on much later than typical. We'll take it! Gorgeous!
