Hanging Downtown

So, this summer has been pretty low-key as far as obligations go.  None of the three kids wanted to do soccer this year.  There were no camps.  No parties to plan.  I'm not sure the children have seen the light of day before 11 am for at least a month.  Today, we decided that we had lazed around at home enough, and decided to wander around downtown, just for something to do.  We ended up at a toy store to play a game, and then hit the music store.  We need to enjoy these unstructured days while we have them!!

McLain's State Park

While the boys were at Stuebenville, Reagan and I hit the beach with friends.

The Men-folk at Stuebenville

Rob was chaperone for the first time as "Yahweh's Yoopers" headed to St. Paul, MN for the Steubenville Youth Conference.  All three reportedly had a fabulous time, and can't wait for next year!!

Big Bubbles

When the kids were little, we used to blow ginormous bubbles all summer.  It was something I'd completely forgotten about, until an ice cream social at a friend's house brought it to both Reagan and my collective consciousnesses again.  We NEED big bubbles in our life!  How had the summer gone by as much as it had without them??  Reagan whipped up a batch of the miracle juice, and created her magic wands.  I don't care how old you are.  Bubbles are ALWAYS amazing.

Strawberries!

A friend and I woke up early this past week to pick strawberries, and then Reagan wanted us to do it again, so she could participate.  Sixteen quarts were harvested by the Ahos this year!  That means we have LOTS of homemade strawberry jam to feed us throughout the next year!  Woot woot!
