Spring Break Mini Trip

So, we weren't able to go anywhere exotic for spring break this year... or really anywhere non-exotic either.  But the kids and I DID spend the day in the bustling metropolis of Marquette, MI, where we had a fabulous lunch and tried our hand at an escape room!  As luck (and our unstoppable puzzle-solving skills) would have it, we escaped just fine.  What a fun day!

Flying on a Winter's Day

These photos just ooze love.  My husband is in love.... with the Keweenaw, and his little plane.  And winter flying.  It is a pretty sight, I'll give it that!!

Dad and Son Fly In

Spring flying is a Dad's dream.  Quinn and Rob hit Schlatter's lake for a weenie roast.  This is the stuff of memories, my friends.  What a beautiful day, and a beautiful memory.

The snowbank behind Quinn looks like it's smiling for the camera!  Like a melted snowman.  Too funny.

Maple Tapping

The kids and I met up with some friends today to tap some maple trees!  This is a first for us, and it was so much fun!!!  I think we need to tap some of our own trees in the near future, and make our own syrup.  What a great way to get out into the woods and enjoy the great outdoors in early spring!!

Pikku Kivajat

Reagan joined Pikku Kivajat, the local Finnish folk dance group!  She did a fabulous job, as the group celebrated St. Urho's day with Finnish actor Antti Holma!
