Last Day of Faith Formation

Those kindergarteners were pretty amazing this year in Faith Formation.  I was constantly surprised by their insights, and laughed at their silliness.  Good nice kids.  It was a blessing to spend time with them this year!!

 

 

 

Spring in the Yard

"Mom, come hike with me!" little girl insisted.

"Sure," says I.  "Where shall we hike?"

"In our own back yard!  It's full of flowers!  It's so beautiful!"

 

It was.  Beautiful day in our own back yard.

 

Quinn's new hobby - tree jumping.  Which entails running full speed directly into a tree, climbing up it as far as he can using only momentum and his feet, then jumping backwards.  Weird.  But entertaining.

Repurposing

While Mom and boys were at a fun run, Dad and Reagan decided to up-cycle the structure Rob used to build his airplane wings.  Together, they fashioned it into a tent/fort, which Reagan promptly filled with food, blankets, stuffed animals and books.  So, she plans on living in that thing, or what???

First geocaching of the summer, in Twin Lakes state park.  We found 'em all!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHH Spring

Seems like every year, we have one beautiful day when spring finally feels like it's SPRUNG, and the nastiness of winter is just a painful memory.  Today was that day.  It was pushing 80 degrees, so after church, we packed up the family and headed out to see the run off at Canyon Falls.  Yes, the trail was still snowy (except where it was a muddy mess), and I was more than a little nervous at the thought of the children being close to such a roaring waterfall, given their propensity to spontaneously fall into rivers.  But it all turned out fine, we left with as many children as we came with, and it was just a stunning day.

 

 

 

And..... a strawberry angel-food cake for Divine Mercy Sunday.  YUM.
