New Year's Eve

We went to a New Year's Eve party at friends' house this year, and had a FABULOUS time!  We ate entirely too much, and just may have found a new talent, playing the game "Taboo".  Not a single child fell asleep before OR after midnight.  Not a-one. 

Hitting The Slopes

Grandpa and Grandma Aho got us 1/2 a Family Season Pass to the local ski hill.  The boys and Mama got snowboard/ski gear for Christmas.  Reagan is taking ski lessons.  We are outfitted and ready to hit the slopes!!  WOO HOO!!!!

 

Good Thinking, Mom and Dad....

Rob and I got Reagan a Hello Kitty Karaoke machine for Christmas.  Because she loves to sing, and we wanted to encourage her natural talents.  She now uses it ALL.THE.TIME. To sing, yes.  But also to do stand up comedy.    Which, I have to say - is not her natural talent.  Fabulous.  This is what we hear all day long....

Because nothing says family togetherness more than hanging out in our Christmas Jammies.... yooper style.

 

In other news, Grandma 'Verne is celebrating the Winter Solstice with her happy dance.  The darkness is receding my friends... the snow may be building and building and building (just look at that snow globe outside the windows!), but the darkness is getting shorter by the day.  Halleluah!! 

 

 

 

A Third and Final Christmas Pageant

Reagan was the star of this St. Ignatius show.  Literally.

She twinkled a little prematurely, and then when she sparkled at the right time - neither Mom or Dad was able to get it on video.  BAH.  She was awfully cute as the Star of Bethlehem, though.  And her brothers did a fine job as a shepherd and wise man.

Quinn had a singing solo, and Colby was part of the recorder quartet.  The school does such a great job with this pageant every year!!

It's mighty chilly out there.  We've had two snow days from school already, and the kids (2/3 of whom are under the weather) are trying to make the best of it.
