No exciting trips or activities for Spring Break this year. Bah Humbug. But the kids DID have friends over, which is a rare and wonderful treat. I thoroughly enjoyed coming home from work and having a full table at dinner. The kids had fun "just hangin'".

Palm Sunday
No processions today on Palm Sunday (thank you, COVID!), but we were able to go to church and get our palms and celebrate this holy day for the first time since 2019. It felt good. After dinner, we celebrated with our traditional Palm Sundaes, made from Rocky Road ice cream (because Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a Rocky Road), covered in Creme de Menthe (to remind us of the palms laid down in front of him). Hosannah!

Preparing for Easter
The boys are too old to color Easter eggs, but I am not. Reagan and I decorated to our hearts content. Our fingers are as blue as the eggs are.

She Did It!
She conquered that overhang! After practicing and practicing through six weeks of rock climbing, she finally did it! And I got to see it! On the last day of class! Super exciting. I think I was holding my breath the entire time. Good gravy. Afterwards, just to push her mama's pulse up even higher, she stacked, climbed, and balanced on 17 milk crates. Holy Schmolies. Crazy.

Still Climbing
The girl can ALMOST conquer the overhang. She's just missing about an inch or two of reach, but each session gets farther along than she had the last. She can do the pink path and the blue path. She scales the walls superfast, like they're nothing at all. She contorts her body in ways that I'm pretty sure mine never could. This is her thing. She loves it.
Six weeks of rock climbing will be coming to an end in a few days, but she has hopes of becoming a Ridgeroamer, which is the university climbing group, and joining them for outside climbs this summer.

Living Stations of the Cross
The story these kids tell makes me tear up EVERY.SINGLE.YEAR. They just do such a powerful job. This year, Reagan was narrator, Quinn portrayed Jesus, and Colby was a Roman guard. We held it outdoors, with masks... but the story still came through. The pictures really don't do justice to how moving it truly was. So thankful that pandemics don't stop us from worshipping and gathering, especially during this holiest time of year.
