Mom and the Girl, in snow
We went out to look for a Christmas tree, and were swept away by the Narnian winter right outside our door. It's SO PRETTY out there! Bright sun, fresh snow, brilliant colors. It was magical.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Sure is pretty after a big storm. Thankful that we have power, the plow truck made our road passable, and all our loved ones were nearby enough to join us!

Winter Is Here
Seems awfully early for so much snow, but then again... it's the U.P. We're good at snow here. The kids only had a half day of school scheduled to begin with, but their first snow day, the day before Thanksgiving, was actually pretty good timing. Good timing, snowstorm! Of course, I can say that because we aren't travelling anywhere and we never lost power. Lots and lots and lots of other people weren't quite so lucky!!
These next two pictures the epitome of Thanksgiving to me: when our Halloween Jack-o-lantern meets snow and Christmas lights... it must be Thanksgiving.
Reagan, as always, is all about the snow.

What Katie wanted for her birthday
Katie wanted to make Christmas wreaths and miniature decorative pine trees for her birthday. And Liz was all about making that happen!! We celebrated Katie with carrot cake, and spent the day with pine boughs and bows. It was SO FUN. And, I might be biased, but I think the end products turned out dang cute. Pinterest ain't got nuthin' on us!
Theresa spoils Reagan something awful. But they sure enjoy each other's company! Here she was teaching Reagan how to sew on a 50's era sewing machine!
Reagan made this little guy out of a pinecone, with leftover ribbon and ornaments. Cute cute.
