Cooking with Grandma

Reagan loves to bake, and so does my mom.  Tonight's adventure was making Grandma Fran's Homemade Apple Pie from scratch.  Turned out beautiful!

High-falutin' Jet-Setting Lake Retreat Weekend Get-away

We had the opportunity to spend this absolutely BEAUTIFUL weekend with Rob's sister and husband, at their new lake place in Minnesota!! It's been several years since I ventured into the plane, but a weekend at a lake place in the summer seemed to be the proper motivation to get me into it once again.   I, of course, puked upon landing, but after that... it was all sun, and kayaking, and reading  books, and being waited on hand and foot by very attentive hosts, and eating way too much gourmet food.  Hello, relaxation!   THANK YOU TOM AND DIANE!!  You were such great hosts, and we had such a fabulous time, that you may be seeing our faces again very soon!!!

Model T Tour in Greenbluff

I so vividly remember riding in the back of this very Model T, and freezing my patootie off, just like my kids did yesterday.  I remember Mom saying "I think I can, I think I can" every time we came to a hill.  I remember that half the time, we had to turn the Model T around and go up that hill in reverse.  So glad my kids got to experience the...uh... "character building" of spending the entire day in the back of a 1923 Touring car!!

Plus, they got to help an artist throw a vase!  How cool is that?!?!

You ARE having fun!!  Don't forget that, kids, as those overly long locks blow into your face!

Happy Birthday, Grandma Betty!

The kids got to spend Grandma's birthday with her this year!  They spent the day swimming, bike riding, and tree climbing.  Regan and Grandpa made the cake, and all three kids helped get dinner ready (Grandma cooked the dinner herself, per her choice.  No one cooks steak like she does, and she knows it!)  Happy Birthday, Grandma!!

Great Falls

Those kids wore grandma and grandpa down.  They just didn't want to leave their cousins, and so.... instead of going back to Washington, they headed north to Great Falls for another few days, where it is 95 degrees.  What else is there to do when it's that hot, but swim in the Missouri River, and head to the pool on the military base?? 

And celebrating Grandma and Teryn's birthdays!

The Great Montana Hot Springs Adventure

They are having the time of their lives at Lolo Hotsprings.  Hiking, swimming, bike riding, finding natural hot springs out in the woods all to themselves.  How fun is THAT???
