Malificent

The daughter, creative genius that she is,  has been working on her Halloween costume for weeks and weeks.  I could not envision what she was trying to do with garden stakes, dowels and construction paper.  I expressed considerable doubt that she would be done in time, given the scope of the project she had taken on.  I shouldn't doubt her.  She knows what she's doing.  And she looks stunning as Malificent, I have to say.  I couldn't stop taking pictures, she looked so cool.  The wings were functional.  They actually spread and flapped.  Crazy.  The only issue we hadn't considered is that the wings were too large to physically fit in my vehicle.  She had to ride to the Halloween party in the back bed of Rob's truck, which was quite the adventure.  Lesson learned.

Mother Daughter Hike to Canyon Falls

 This fall has been absolutely gorgeous and we have to take advantage of every last bit of sun and beauty that we can, because the big winter will be upon us before we know it.  Reagan and I hit the Canyon Falls trail, and it was stunning.  I practiced capturing pictures of moving water.  I'm starting to get it, although I have a lot left to learn!  

So blessed to have this young lady as my hiking partner.
