Marching Band

 The marching band season was a go, then a no-go, then a maybe-go, and then a go again.  For now.  So thankful I got to watch these kids play their music, because who knows if we'll get to do that again in this crazy pandemic year!

Cross Country at Maasto Hiito

 Just like last year on this same trail, two boys went into the woods, and only one came out.  Last year, Colby sprained a knee.  This year, Quinn pulled a quad.  The trainer is getting to know the Aho boys very well, for all the wrong reasons.  Still fun to watch these boys run, though!  They are getting so much faster with the added inches to their legs!  

Smoky Sunrise

 The fires out on the west coast are causing some crazy-beautiful sunrises in our neck of the woods!

Highschool Cross Country

This picture makes me smile.  All these serious, tough high-school boys at attention for their picture, and then there's Quinn, in the back, all "heeeeeeyyyyy, girl!"  So funny.  

 

Her First Cross Country Meet

 Reagan has joined the world of school-sponsored sports, and is now a proud member of the Houghton Gremlins cross country team!  Second day of school was her first meet... GO LITTLE GIRL!!  So proud of her for joining something she's never done before, without any of her friends, and challenging herself in this way.  

Back In School

 After six long months... the children have returned to in-person school.  YAY!  There are masks to be worn all day, and social distancing, and all kinds of changes, but they are out of the house, with peers, and being PRODUCTIVE.  This is good.  Can't believe we have two juniors and a middle school-er now!

Family Canoe Trip on the Otter River

 We had originally planned to go camping over Labor Day... but camping is so much WORK and PREPARATION, and I quite honestly wasn't up for that, right before the start of school.  Instead, we spent the day canoeing, and it was lovely!  Why do we not do this more often???
