Easter Vigil

Reagan and I made our annual family paschal candle today, before heading to Easter Vigil where the really BIG one was lit.  It was a beautiful service, and everyone stayed awake the whole time (except Reagan, who was distraught when we finally carried her home and put her in bed, that she missed the pizza and ice cream afterwards). 

U P Math Championships!

Team Two Squared took on the best and brightest that the UP has to offer.  It was a challenging day of math, apparently... and neither set of twins is quite sure they want to do it again.   I think it took down the egos a notch or two, seeing the amount of brain power in that room.   But hey - they got a free (pink) t-shirt, and a free lunch!  And Quinn has a new-found interest in teaching himself calculus from Rob's old college textbook, so the day wasn't a total bust!!

Bedroom Nook Makeover

So... there's a little "room" off of the boys' bedroom.  Once upon a time, this WAS their bedroom (aka "the nursery"), while the main bedroom belonged to Rob and I.  As they grew, we gave the boys the bedroom, and moved downstairs, and the "nook" became a playroom.  Then they grew some MORE, and the playroom turned into a book room.  And then, after we tore the carpet out of their bedroom, it became the "place where we throw a bunch of crap".  Which wasn't pretty.

But NOW, Rob is wanting to turn the nook into his home office, which means it gets brand new flooring and a paint job!!  And the transformation is beautiful!!!  Look at this!!

We still need to get office furniture in there yet, but it's such an improvement!  So light and inviting!!!  So pretty!!  Yeah for home improvements!!
