Sailboat Camping

Rob and Reagan camped on Second Wind out at White City and Chassell Bay.  . Friday night and Saturday were calm seas, light breezes, and just "ahhhhhh".  The boat battery did die three times, necessitating a visit from a friend on a jet ski bringing a spare battery.  Except - as he was handing the battery over to Rob in the boat, he and his son fell in the water, and dropped the battery to the bottom of the lake.  Yikes!  They ended up jumping the battery with the jet ski, and got 'er running again...for about an hour... after which she died again.  Luckily, after I got off work, I brought a generator and battery charger, and Rob was able to jump the battery a second time. Sunday, apparently, the wind picked up substantially, and the battery died a third time.  He was able to charge it, but the high winds made the sail back interesting to say the least, and there was much swearing and gnashing of teeth as it took three passes before they were able to grab the mooring ball to moor.  Sailing.  Idyllic and terrifying.

Reagan is getting good at flaking ropes.  She keeps the boat organized and ship-shape.

Rob's friend Tom was flying by, and happened to see us sailing back into the canal after a day on the big lake!
